We had a fabulous first week in 3rd grade! We spent time getting to know each other and learning how to be safe while we’re back at school. This week we will continue to get to know each other and work on team building activities.
NWEA
This week we will be taking our NWEA test for both math and reading. We will be testing in the morning on Tuesday-Friday. We are giving two days for each test, this way kids will have plenty of time to finish, and not get too overwhelmed. Thank you for having your child here in the mornings during this week.
Emails
I have sent a "Test Email" to all of the currently parent emails that I have from our Power School system. Unfortunately, when we look at Power School from our end, it only supplies us with one parent email. So, if you didn't receive the "Test Email" from me, then please send me an email to aettinger@stjoebears.com letting me know that you would like to be in my parent group email list. Thank you for understanding and helping keep our communication great this year!
Weekly Specials Schedule
Our specials are on a Monday-Friday schedule and the same time each day. No more letter days! 3rd grade specials begin right at 8:35 every day, so it is very important that your child arrive to school on time at 8:25. Wednesdays will be used as make-up days for missed specials, extra computer lessons, music practice days, etc.
