Nutcracker
The Nutcracker performances are this week! Our third graders have been working hard to learn the songs and dances and their performance is December 16th at the John and Dede Howard Auditorium at St. Joseph High School at 5:30 pm. Students should arrive at the HIGH SCHOOL at 5:15 pm but not any earlier. They can then report to the Choir Room to wait until showtime. Families, please be seated after your child reports to the choir room. All the elementary schools are performing on the same night but at different times, so please quickly exit the auditorium once the performance has ended. You can meet your child in the auditorium lobby after the performance. Confirm with me via email (or google form) if you are able to support us with supervision before the show and can help the students put on their costumes!
Holiday Party
Our class will be having our Holiday Party on Friday afternoon from 1-2pm on, December 17th. We will be playing a game, doing a craft, and eating some yummy treats! We will also play Christmas Jeopardy! One of my favorite traditions to do with my class.
Nutcracker Decorating Help
Parents! We could really use your help! We need about 5-6 parents to help us take down paper Nutcrackers from the gym on Thursday after school. Please click on this link and choose a slot if you are able to help us. Thank you so much!
Multiplication Facts
Please continue weekly multiplication fact practice from home. We started with the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s, but will now continue on to 3’s and 4’s. We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home. Resources to use include: IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc.
Positivity Project Character Strength: Self Control
This week’s positivity project trait is self-control. Self-control means you have the ability to control your emotions and behaviors. You think before you act.
What we are learning this week!

Reading- Story Elements
Word Study - Unit 10
