Kiwanis Park
On Wednesday afternoon, June 1st, our 3rd grade classes will walk down to Kiwanis Park. We will eat lunch at school, then leave to walk to the park and spend time playing and having fun before we return to Lincoln. We welcome parents and families to join us.
Potawatomi Zoo
We are getting very excited about the zoo! Just a reminder that we will be leaving Lincoln at 9:30am on Friday, June 3rd. We do not have space for chaperones that have told us they are going, so you must drive yourself. You are welcome to follow the bus. This is a free trip for students, but chaperones must pay their own admission. We will have students in small groups with chaperones, and we also have a 30 minute educational session for each class to attend. Please have your child wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. We will be wearing our Lincoln School Shirts, so we can all keep a good eye on our students. Students will also need to bring lunch, or you may order one from the school. We already received some kids that we know need lunch. Please let me know if your child needs a school lunch next Friday.
* I want to let you know that after we had sent home information for our field trip, my family and I had
decided to move our daughter onto young fives, and not keep her one more year in daycare (she has a November birthday)...anyways, her preschool graduation is the same morning as the field trip. I am very sorry that I won't be able to attend the trip, but I will be there when they get back. I didn't want to change things for parents because of my own change in plans. However, we have 10 chaperons, and Mr. Reimer's will be my sub, and Mrs. Thompson, who has been in our room all year will be attending as well. Thank you for understanding.
Reading Camp
Our third graders are going to have a full day of Reading Camp on the Lincoln grounds. Thank you to those who have already signed up to send in supplies or set up tents. The camp day is scheduled for Monday, June 6th from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-3:30pm. We are still in need of a few more volunteers to make this event happen. If you can be a camp "counselor" that day, or even part of the day, we are in need of volunteers. Please fill out the sign up sheet below if you are available to help. All materials and directions will be provided! We can always use extra hands and your child would love it! It's your help that makes this a successful event! Thank you for considering. Click on the link below to sign up to volunteer or to bring materials for the camp.
