  3rd Grade News Week 37 May 31st - June 3rd Monday, May 30th - NO SCHOOL Tuesday, May 31st - Music Wednesday, June 1st - LATE START, Kiwanis Thursday, June 2nd - Library/Media Center (All books due back by today!) Friday, June 3rd - Potawatomi Zoo Important Dates Late Starts - June 1st No School - May 30th, Memorial Day 3rd Grade to Kiwanis - June 1st 3rd Grade to Potawatomi Zoo - June 3rd Kiwanis Park On Wednesday afternoon, June 1st, our 3rd grade classes will walk down to Kiwanis Park.  We will eat lunch at school, then leave to walk to the park and spend time playing and having fun before we return to Lincoln.  We welcome parents and families to join us.    Potawatomi Zoo  We are getting very excited about the zoo! Just a reminder that we will be leaving Lincoln at 9:30am on Friday, June 3rd. We do not have space for chaperones that have told us they are going, so you must drive yourself. You are welcome to follow the bus. This is a free trip for students, but chaperones must pay

Thank you to those who have already signed up to send in supplies or set up tents.  The camp day is scheduled for Monday, June 6th from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-3:30pm. The days were filled with activities as you moved from session to session. Our third graders are going to have a full day of Reading Camp on the Lincoln grounds. The camp day is scheduled for Monday, June 6th from 9:00-11:30 and 1:00-3:30pm. We are in need of several items to make this happen, including 2 large tents and one canopy, per class. The tents and canopy could be put up Sunday evening or Monday morning and taken down Monday after school. We will be very careful with them! Track Meet The John Hall Elementary Track meet will now be held next Friday, May 13th, at St. Joseph High School at 11:30.  The meet will last until 2:00. All third, fourth, and fifth grade students will participate in four events.  Third graders do a standing long jump, a 60 M dash, a running long jump, and a 100

We have spent time doing class meetings and discussing behaviors that are appropriate and inappropriate at school. I have had many one on one conversations with students about behavior as well. We will be working this week on kindness lessons, and truly reminding them of the golden rule that "if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all."
